Launching the Ethical Guide!

I’m happy to announce that I’m launching a new updated ethical guide here on the GSP! This guide will be in the form of a series of posts covering the items that we use every day. I did this before, in a series of “Daily Footprint” posts that started in Nov 2016 – almost a decade ago! So it’s time for an update.

These posts are also going to be central to my book, Climactic: A Consumer’s Guide to Saving the Planet, for which I’m currently seeking an agent/publisher. A good amount of Climactic deals with the principles of ethical consumption – for example, whether third-party certifications work or not. Then the final chapters of the book are focused on putting all of these principles into action.

The penultimate chapter of Climactic will comprise an ethical guide to the things we commonly buy. Since that’s a lot to squeeze into one chapter (!) the longer Ethical Guide articles here on the GSP will serve as references from the book.

Request for topics to cover

If there’s any topic that you’d like me to cover in this upcoming Ethical Guide series, let me know. This is your chance to join in and shape Climactic to your needs and desires! Post a comment below or contact me.

I also want to hear your thoughts on each of the Ethical Guide articles so I can integrate your feedback into Climactic. Thanks for your support, as always, dear readers!

  1. I’m curious about laundry detergent sheets. Do they work? They tout being eco friendly, but are they truly?

    1. Thanks for this suggestion too. It has been on my agenda to cover laundry detergent sheets for some time.
I’ll buy some and try them out. Any particular brand?
